That this signifies the power of the forces for fighting, is evident from the signification of "arms" and "hands," as being powers, (see n. 878, 3091, 3387, 4931-4937, 5327, 5328, 5544); that it is the power of the forces for fighting is clear, because fighting is what is being treated of.
