That this signifies from the Divine love to eternity, is evident from the signification of "the heart," as being the good of love (see n. 3313, 3635, 3883-3896, 7542, 9050); consequently, when said of the Lord, who is here represented by Aaron, it denotes the Divine love. Consequently "to carry upon the heart" denotes to preserve to eternity from the Divine love.
